A former successful journalist, Malina knows how to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the matter, and how to be a great active listener and powerful communicator.   • World Class Credentials: Trained and certified by the Center for Executive Coaching and the Fowler International Academy of Professional Coaching, Malina is a Certified Executive Coach, Certified Professional Coach, and Certified Disaster Recovery Coach. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School; member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and was invited to join the prestigious Forbes Coaches Council. A former Fulbright Scholar, Malina holds Master of Arts degrees from New York University (Journalism) and St. Kliment Ohridsky University of Sofia, Bulgaria (English Philology).

In 2019, Malina learned to sail and immediately signed up for the Clipper Round the World Race - training alongside amateur sailors from all walks of life to achieve her childhood dream to circumnavigate the world. She is competing in Leg 8 of the 2023-24 edition of the race.

    Malina lives in New Jersey with her family and dog. She loves to ski, practice yoga, read good books, eat good food, drink good wine, meet interesting people and hear their stories.

  • Vida Rose: is the name of Malina’s yacht. Sailing has taught Malina a lot about leadership, teamwork, trust, resilience, and creative problem solving. She shares this knowledge in her coaching practice and LeaderSHIP™ programs on Vida Rose and around the world.
